(meteorobs) Dec 14 - Where did the Bright ones go?

I had high hope of seeing a fine show tonight, the "peak"
night with the supposed "fireballs". In fact the skies were
nice and clear - much better than last night, so I headed
up to the roof planning to do a few hr. of Teff.

Well, that was the expectation. Reality was 6/10 GEM were mag
4, and nothing brighter than mag 1 ! The adjusted ZHR = 77, but it
hardly seemed that way, with such faint ones and LM only 4.9, all
washed out they just didn't excite me. (Last night had more action,
despite the heavy clouds and short session.)

So, I gave up after 1 hour. Well, one more chance tomorrow night,
with that moonfree window. I'll keep the fingers crossed...

Good luck to everyone else!
Mike.
