Jason,

The FOV ("Field of View") or Field is the direction the observer was
watching during that observing period. It is normally reported as an area of
the sky in right ascension and declination, but is sometimes listed as a
compass direction and an altitude above the horizon. I would suggest you use
right ascension and declination as that is what most observers are using.
