(meteorobs) Quadrantid Report/ East Central GA

While clear skies gave expectations of a good showing
for the Quadrantids last night, I must admit that while the
Quads were strong, individually they were upstaged by a
magnitude +2 nebulous meteor that, at 9:04 UT appeared from
the SW and very slowly crawled across the sky before fading
out near the zenith. It had a teardrop shape and a rather long
wake -- its slow speed allowed me to get a very good look at
it.  It was absolutely ghostly in appearance!  Another identical
though smaller nebulous meteor (and with a shorter path length)
appeared from the NE at 10:09UT.
While my understanding is that the Quads don't produce many
fireballs, I was treat to three (though nominal) from the
shower last night.  Two were -3's while the third was a -4.
In addition a fourth fireball (a SPO of -3)was also seen.
At 8:46UT I was treated to a pair of dead-on simulataneous
Quads.  My rates were also quite nice, increasing as the radiant
rose higher and higher.  In all, I logged 184 meteors including
132 Quadrantids.  Most were faint, as expected, but there were
quite a few that were bright.  The DCA's also put on a good
show during P1 and P2, with 3 and 4 seen, respectively.
