RE: (meteorobs) Aids for night vision?

I have heard that a substance called anthocyanin, which is also called
visual purple, is good for enhancing visual acutity at night. It is also
a strong antioxidant. It is found in concord grapes, purple plums, blue-
berries, bilberries, and black raspberries. It seems to work for me, but
the positive affects are more for seeing motion (i.e. meteors) than for any
greater dark adaption.
