Data template courtesy of Bob Lunsford. Just before 930 UT Quadrantid rates
started increasing rapidly, just as in 1997. But it didn't last. After 945
UT not much more was seen except for a brief spurt around 1020 UT. I
observed for 8 extra minutes into twilight with LM falling below 7.3 and saw
only 4 more Quads. Sporadics started off very well for a short time but
remained dull the rest of the night. After the -5m Quad was seen at 917 UT
I didn't see another meteor for 10 minutes. It does appear that Quad rates
increased again after I finished, but probably to levels no higher than my
best short period, knowing that Bob sees rates at least 1.5X mine.
Temperature about 35oF.
