(meteorobs) update of video meteor database
Dear friends,
I have updated the positional database obtained from the AKM video
network. Now it also contains all observations obtained by us in 2000.
An overall of more than 24,000 single-station meteor records collected
in more than 3,000 hours of effective observing time are avaiable
at the IMO homepage: http://www.imodot net/video/metrec/database.html
The data are stored in IMO's PosDat format and ready to be analysed with
software like Rainer Arlt's Radiant: ftp://ftp.imodot net/pub/software/radiant/
The database is organized camera-wise. You can select observations in
three different ways:
* data collected in a specific month and year
* all data collected in a specific month over all years
* all data collected in a specific years over all months
If you are interested in a special date, you may first check if and how
many cameras were operated that night without downloading any files.
