(meteorobs) ETA Aquarids observations from Hawaii

Hello list,

Due in part to Mr.Ogawa's report of heightened radio meteor
activity, I decided to try one hour of Teff just before dawn this
morning. The Moon had just about set already, making for fairly
decent conditions. I observed from the roof of my apartment
building where the LM=5.2, Immediately upon starting my count, I
saw a pair of ETA and APX! So, I thought it would be a good show,
but activity seemed to taper off later in the session. Nevertheless I
saw 6 ETA for a ZHR=41.0 !

The moon will be more of a problem tomorrow morning (may 5) but
it may be low enough during that last hour before twilight to
compensate for the increased activity closer to maximum. We
shall see...

Clear skies to all!
