Re: (meteorobs) abundance of nebulous meteors was Fwd: Howfast do Meteors go?
Adam and list,
Louis Frank proposed the small comet theory some years ago and has had
a great deal of difficulty with his contemporaries because of it. He dogs
along with it and claims if he can ever prove it's wrong he will drop it, but
he keeps putting out evidence to support his theory. Mr. Frank has said he
has had more experiments in space than any other, about 42 at this time,
so he's no lightweight. He also has his name on a paper he helped with as a
student, something by James Van Allen about the uh...Van Allen Belt....so
despite the unending attacks and general disbelief about his small comets
the guy has major credentials nobody can dispute. Most of the people on
meteorobs discount his theory, but so you can make up your own mind and
learn more about his theory, look up the following URL and also download a
pdf file or two:

Those were large nebulous meteors you saw.
Is meteorobs working OK? I'm not getting many posts, 0-2 a day.
Frank also wrote a book about small comets and his difficuty with
supporting an unpopular theory, "THE BIG SPLASH."
