Digital camera typically had very short exposure time ( not like SLR with B
setting) and suffered from ccd noise at low light long exposure. In theory if
you shoot a couple of seconds exposure 'often' enough [ plenty of battery
power and 1 G IBM microdrive] with a fish-eye lens ( talking more on Nikon
Cookpix 995 series avialble in June ] you should be able to capture some
bright meteors during the storm.
