(meteorobs) Ask Governor Pataki: False Alarm!
RE: "Ask the Governor" on WCBS Newsradio
It looks like we will not have a chance to ask Gov. Pataki about
Light Pollution on Thursday evening afterall. Here is an e-mail from
Gary Citro of the Amateur Observers' Society (AOS) of New York.

I heard about this this morning and checked the CBS Newsradio website for
confirmation. It says the "Ask The Governor program is on on the THIRD
Thursday of each month (which would be LAST Thursday, June 21.).
I just called WCBS Newsradio 880 and was told that Governor Pataki will
NOT
be on tomorrow (Thursday) night. I prefaced the conversation with "I know the
website says he will be on on the Third Thursday, but my understanding is
that he
will be on tomorrow night instead. Is this true?"
Then guy put me on hold and checked and came back telling me he will not
be
on. Hey, I'll check in tommorow night anyway, but it seems at the moment like
we
MISSED a great opportunity, and will have one again in July (the 19th) if
necessary.
