(meteorobs) hybrid visual/video work

to my understanding it was because they felt that the performance of the
available meteor detection software wasn't good enough, i.e. that they
were missing too many meteor by automatic detection.
However, to "celebrate" this as a new technique left a big smile at my
face: Before meteor detection software became available *every* video
observation was reduced by first watching the tape visually and find the
meteors. So every activity graph that was produced before 1998 used this
"hybrid technique", but nobody used such an illustrious name ...

This would require a little additional programming effort, but the problem
could be solved. =:-))
