Re: (meteorobs) The END of Visual Observing ?!?!?

Hello all,
The visual observing of meteors and a human description of what
occurred is (at least for this observer) VERY important.  Even more important
is the VISUALLY produced memory of what occurred and possibly describing it
to someone else. Having watched the major showers (ok, maybe not every one)
since the 86 Perseids I can still "SEE" many of those memories as if it
happened yesterday. What is scientific or accurate about any of the above?
Nothing.  It's simply that for this observer I dont think that another
recording method is able to produce the same TYPE of results that the human
retina does much less a later verbal description of the same even though it's
count accuracy, etc., may be superior.  Anyway, I doubt that any of us will
be putting away our lounge chairs just yet. Long trains.
