Yep, the initial wire service reports were botched with "meteor shower" crap
about what was apparently a single bolide.

And, as usual, they all ran off to call their local universities' astronomy
departments to call people who probably haven't spent more than 5 seconds of
their professional careers thinking about meteors :-)

The supposed impact stuff smells to high heaven to me, too.
