(meteorobs) photos of perseids

The Moon will be at last quarter phase. Shooting at ASA 3200 @ f/1.7  - - you should experience sky fog on relatively short exposures. Just at a guess, I am thinking about a 1 minute exposure. Star trails become evident on film at around a 20 second exposure with a camera of 50mm  focal length mounted on a tripod.  If your system is automated you might consider 20 second exposures. You should grab star images of 6th magnitude in that time if they dont wash out due to the moonlight.
