(meteorobs) Not a Fireball of Aug.11/12 but rocket reentry



Hi All:

It was a rocket re-entry. Here is the email from the Satellite Observers Group;

 I was a Dal when I saw it and tried to get some photos very hastly of it..will
see how they come out when I get the film developed Monday.

I believe you saw the re-entry of 26868, re-entring somewhat later
and half a world away from the recent predictions of both harro zimmer
and us spacecom. looking at last elset from OIG, 
SL-6 R/B(1)

this gives a high overhead pass nw-se for the location you give at 
0337-0338ut.
