(meteorobs) Perseids August 14/15, 2001




   I was able to get another hour of post Perseid maximum observations in this
morning from Greenbelt. The conditions were much better than two mornings ago,
but fewer Perseids showed up. The best show this morning was the string of
planets along the ecliptic, from east to west there was Venus, Jupiter, the
crescent Moon, and Saturn, all strung out like jewels on a chain. A beautiful 
site. Below is a brief summary. A full report will be sent to Bob later.
