Dear friends,

after numerous mail messages, telephone calls and internal contacts we
could finally trace the problem with our imodot net domain last afternoon.
As we expected right from the beginning, it was a fault of our domain
registrar Network Solutions Inc., not on our side.

We would like to apologize for any inconvenience that the down-time of our
domain may have caused. We also like to thank again the American Meteor
Society, which hosts a mirror site of our homepage and ensured that most 
of our services were still available in the last few weeks.

>From now on, you should be able to access our main homepage under the
original URL www.imodot net again. The ftp server ftp.imodot net should be
accessible, too, and all mail addresses @imodot net are working.

If you still get an error message when contacting imodot net, please, be
patient for a few more hours or days. It just takes some time until the
updated imodot net-record has reached the numerous name servers world-wide.

Please, contact me privately if you still encounter any problem with our
domain after the coming weekend.

When contacting IMO officers, please use these generic addresses again,
and NOT these persons' personal email addresses. Note that the imodot net
addresses are occasionally redirected to deal with temporary unavailabilties
of IMO officers. Using the imodot net addresses instead of personal addresses
is therefore your best guarantee that your observations, WGN submissions,
questions, etc. will be dealt with as soon as reasonably possible.
