Re: (meteorobs) Population index error

Hi, Nikola,

Some bibliography may be helpful.

R. Koschack, J. Rendtel, Determination of Spatial Number Density and Mass
Index from Visual Meteor Observations, WGN, vol. 18, No. 4, 1990, pp. 119.
Two part totally, and you can download it at

http://www.amsmeteors.org/imo-mirror/articles/method/kos1990-1.pdf.gz
and
http://www.amsmeteors.org/imo-mirror/articles/method/kos1990-2.pdf.gz.

And
R. Arlt, The Analysis of a Week Meteor Shower: The June Bootids 2000, WGN,
vol. 28, No. 4, 2000, pp. 98.

If you used the regression line method, I think the error margin of the
coefficient "a" fitted by the least square method can be used, too.

But I'm not an expert on this, so you'd better ask for more others'
suggestion.

All best wishes and Clear skies!
