Just a quick note: aurora (as well as satellites, and meteor dx when it is not
specifically related to METEOR COUNTING, etc., etc.) are all subsumed under the
heading of '"SORT OF" ON-TOPIC - i.e., "WELCOME ANY TIME THE LIST IS QUIET"'...

In other words, while we are all waiting in breathless anticipation for this
Fall and Winter's many meteor showers, and observing and discussing the very
occasional minor shower in between, it is perfectly acceptable for us all to
chat about such exciting aspects of the naked-eye sky as the aurora, I think!
(If other readers would prefer NOT to see such topics discussed here, please
email ME PRIVATELY with your feedback on the subject...)

To anyone for whom there are still questions on this... please reread this
