From my obs here in Australia on FM - The Leonids did reach saturation
in 1998(but not 1999 or 2000.
1999 saw big trains - indicating big fireballs & 
2000 saw smaller ones indicating dimmer, smaller meteors. Similar to
the Eta Aquarids in magnitude.
Activity for the Leonids was observed
1998 17 (peak)& 18 Nov
1999 19 Nov
2000 16, 17, 18 (peak) & 19 Nov.
