Actually Tom makes a good point.  There are occasions when one wants ONLY
the bright meteors (e.g. fireball patrol) and in such cases one should go
to wider angles.  The 1998 Leonids are a good example, as fish-eye lenses
had by far the largest number of trails per exposure and probably overall.
The all-sky image from Bratislava(?) in 1998 will be an enduring classic.
