(meteorobs) LM of Reports

Lew assumed that Sid Ferreira must be facing the moon because of the
poor LM of 3.5 to 4.0 or so. La Crescenta is just about 7 miles East of
me. We are in light polluted Los Angeles County of California. Sid has
discovered, like I have, that you can see meteors from your backyard
though the pollution with some patience. I have been observing since
Monday of this week off and on and recording my observations with a tape
recorder and talking clock. I record these in my lab book in a simple
time sequence. My sky is maybe a hair less good than Sid's, or maybe it
is my eyesight at 80 years of age. I frankly am observing for the fun of
it, or should I say the thrill of it. After all a -2.0 M meteor is as
good to the impoverished in a 3.5 sky as it is to the sky wealthy in a
7.0 magnitude sky. The question is whether I should formalize these
observation in a report form and submit them? I must admit I am getting
pretty lazy in my old age. By the way I think Sid did a great job and I
hope he continues. I for one am interested in his reports.
