(meteorobs) Oct 20 Orionids Austin Texas

I can't swear to it due to lack of organization and doubing my
memory, but I think that these were my first Orionids.

Murphy's Law results -- forgot red astro light; radio batteries
were running low; some very thin fog present. But anyway, as I
was on Mt. Bonnell (30.321N, 97.773W, 270m), a hilltop park
site within Austin that rated Bortle scale Class 7, LM 4.5-5.0,
sadly I could see my paper well enough to write in the "dark".
I watched in the general vicinity of Taurus.

October 20, 2001 UTC (times via radio WWV/WWVH)
10:29-10:49, .33 Teff, 6 ORI, 0 SPO
10:53-11:13, .33 Teff, 0 ORI, 1 SPO
11:15-11:37, .34 Teff, 1 ORI, 0 SPO
(last period in astronomical twilight; two minutes down time)
Total 1.00 Teff, 7 ORI, 1 SPO

I managed to record a few magnitudes.

ORI: #1, -2; #2, +1; #4, 0; #5, +2; #6, +3
SPO: +1

I was surprised by difference of the first period's ORI rate
from the other two but doubt that it's significant.

I saw one other casual ORI at about 11:40.
