(meteorobs) Orionids Oct. 19/20, 2001

I was able to get a couple hours in before clouds took over. The best meteor
was a -6 Taurid fireball seen at 6:57 UT. It was yellow at first, then turned
blue as it fragmented with two terminal bursts. A train persisted for about 18
seconds at the locations of the two bursts near the end of it's flight. It was
a beauty! Later, a strange meteor, that looked like re-entering space junk, was
seen going from the northern to southern sky that traveled over 50 degrees was
observed at around 7:15 UT. The Orionids picked up nicely the second hour. I'll
send a full report to Bob Lunsford later.
