Re: (meteorobs) *SECOND SAMPLE* LEONID REPORT 17/18 Nov 2001, SAMPLE OBSERVER (SAMPL)

Hi Andrew,

I'm not sure if anyone has answered your question or not, but the codes are
from the IMO database. They assign those once reports from an observer come
in. Listing your location in latitude and longitude (and elevation) is
perfectly fine. In fact, I would continue to list it that way, even after
you have a location code as that number means nothing to the rest of
us....without looking it up in the database.

Clear Leonid skies!

Hi,

In the below sample it mentions the Observer and Location codes, are these
gathered from the IMO itself? Also instead of Observing location etc.. would
Lat, Long coordinates be acceptable here?

thanks
Andrew
