Arlene, the best time for you to watch Leonids would be just before morning
twilight, so decide how long you want to watch, then step back that many
hours from morning twilight. I must warn you, you won't see much -- maybe
thirty or forty meteors per hour. Meanwhile, in east Asia, they'll be seeing
a hundred times that many meteors. What a difference a few hours makes! Or
in this case, two years -- if you'd been watching the 1999 Leonids, Greece
was a perfect location.

Isn't Assos a little close to Corinth for good dark skies?

As to watching, just bundle up in a sleeping bag and tuck a hot water bottle
into the bottom for your feet. If you can keep your feet warm, it'll make a
big difference.
