WOW!!!!!! That was quite a show! I didn't get a chance to see things first
hand as I was too busy attending to my spectrographs. Over 50 spectra, zero
order and first order were recorded with my 2nd Generation Image Intensifier
spectrograph. Some were quite spectacular. I will have to review the tapes
after I get some sleep and get an accurate count. It's 5:30 a.m. P.S.T. I
also deployed a Hasselblad with an F-2.8 - 80 mm lens and a 750 l/mm film
type holographic grating. I don't expect much from this unit as the meteors
would have to be quite bright to register a spectrum. I will report on this
when I have the film developed. I still have to review the Sandia All-sky
tapes for bright fireballs. Probably in a day or two. Hope everyone had a
good night!
