(meteorobs) (admin fwd) Re: Leonids from EMO Courtenay, B.C. CANADA





At WVW at about 10pm the marine layer rolled in and fogged up the place.  I
could still see bright many stars directly overhead and brighter ones
towards the horizon.  My single observer count was at most 2 to 5 per minute
even through the peak at 2am (sitting in the hot tub to keep warm!).  This
certainly was not the 2-3 per second storm that was predicted. I will check
the tape for bright ones late today.
