During the past 17th  and 18th  November 2001, the forward scatter meteor
equipment of FENICS group has been operated to monitor the Leonid meteor
shower. In 24 hours of continuous observation, from 14:00 UT 17th November
to 14:00 UT 18th November, two main peaks were recorded. The first
between 01:00UT and 03:30UT of 18th November, the second one between
07:30UT and 12:30UT of the same day. Peaks are defined as continuous
periods reporting more than 50 echoes/hour.
The maximum meteor echoes rate was observed at  10:00UT of 18th November
with 80 echoes/hour. The average value  of the whole observing period is
39 echoes/hour.
