(meteorobs) Meteor Hunt Of November 4/5, 2001
November 30, 2001
Greetings Meteor Enthusiasts!
This was an exceptional night for meteor hunting. I
saw my first Taurid fireball! However, on this night
I noticed some low cloud cover near the horizon in my
field of view. Happily though, instead of snuffing
out the sky, the clouds turned against the bright,
rising moon instead and blotted it out for awhile,
preserving a fairly nice limiting magnitude. Of
course the moon rose faster than the clouds and
eventually freed itself.
