(meteorobs) Re: Rocket Junk Entry ???
This almost certainly was the re-entry of an upper stage of
the Russian launch earlier today (Saturday, Dec. 1). There
was a *very* similar event in October 2000 that caused a
flurry of messages on Meteorobs and SeeSat-L that month. A
search on Google.com using the terms "texas oklahoma
fireball october" will pull up references to the Oct 2000
event. Here's Alan Pickup's analysis of that one:

Today's SpaceCom catalog number is 26990 and international
designation is 01-053D (part D of the 53rd launch of 2001).
The launch vehicle was a Proton, and it launched a Glonass
(again, very similar to Oct 2000) and two other satellites.
I've received a private message that KOCO-TV in Oklahoma got
good video of this event.
