Re: (meteorobs) Do leonids hitting the moon make observable craters?
I found this little tidbit tucked away in my notes from college:
"Amount of meteor energy required for crater of diameter d:
4 * 10**6 d**3 Joules"
I can't provide any references or additional details. I don't even know what
kind of surface it refers to.
