(meteorobs) Geminid radio meteors - high this morning!



Hello:

 Well, I am still listening to the Geminids at this time but will
end the session by noon. The rates are slowly dropping now and I will
start monitoring again later tonight after 0000 UT.

 There were a couple of long duration trails hitting 5/5 on my meter.

The results from the yesterday and today below:

Hgt: 58 meters above sea level
Listening Frequency: 83.24 MHz
Receiver: Icom R-10
Antenna : resonant dipole
Antenna Direction: Horizontally polarized with lobes in E-W plane, elev 0 deg
Filter  : high-Q (Q at least 300) bandpass filter between antenna & receiver.
Listening Mode: CW
Recording method: listening by ear
