(meteorobs) 2001 Ursid maximum from S. Maryland

Hi Everyone,
The Ursids seemed rather sparse just before the maximum predicted in the
2001 IMO Calendar (12 UT). I only saw three in 2.65 hours under a cloudless
5.5 magnitude sky. The Coma Berenicids were just as numerous, making the
Ursids seem more like a minor shower in its output this year.
Sporadics stole the show this morning. One of the two fireballs had an
enduring train lasting over a minute. Near the end of its naked eye
visibility, the train had been deformed by a high altitude wind.
