Actually, my friend, if it's wet, Northerners seem to call it "slush"... :)

Sorry you missed out on the peak this year. Happily (and astoundingly) I have
had just the opposite luck: Miserable weather in 2001 and 2000 (and 1999, and
1998, and 1997...), while in 2002, I saw that rarest of New England events, a
*CLEAR* January night! Below is the quick summary of my early-evening session.
(A full IMO report will (hopefully!) follow later today.) There is no question
in my mind that the QUAs were somewhere near full tilt during this session: I
was observing with a radiant altitude averaging just *3* degrees, and I logged
*8* brightish Quadrantids... That is quite a haul! This Winter so far has been
a good season for exciting early-evening observing. Wish it would last... :)

Highlight of the night was definitely a gorgeous, earth-grazing mag 2 QUA at
00:14UT, which went over 30o, lasting 3.5 secs, and leaving a 0.5 sec train!
Sure enough, after this thrill, *NO* QUAs were seen the rest of the session.
