(meteorobs) Observation Jan 03, 2002

I had a busy holiday travel this year, but hoped to find
time for the Quads. Unfortunately, the peak time found me
traveling back from the mainland to Hawaii. The only
opportunity I had to make a count was a short period in the
early morning hours of Jan 03, while waiting for my ride to
the airport. Fortunately, the skies had cleared up nicely
just a few hours before, after several days of dismal
weather, yielding decent LM for a city location.

I observed a total of only 7 minutes, but caught one QUA!
Odds would say that it implies a fairly good rate of about
ZHR=50, but since n=1, a very poor statistic of course.

I was flying over the mid-pacific around the maximum time
of 18UT, so I kept a watch out the airplane window on the
chance I could catch a daytime fireball. Alas, none was
seen.
