I disagree. Considering that Sky & Tel is a popular astronomy magazine for all
levels of experence, it was a pretty well done article.  Also, as Sirko Molau
pointed out, analysis is still on going. When the copy for the March issue
went to press, even less was known/published from the IMO data. Most folks who
saw the 2001 Leonids were not members of any meteor organizations, and many of
them are Sky & Tel subscibers; so they deserved to have their stories told too.
This was a big event for everyone, not just the specialists. Let us not get too
smug with our concerns and opinions as "serious" observers and researchers. 
There are others who love the stars too.
