(meteorobs) ETA Observations 6th May, 2002 from Sydney, Australia

Hi all,

Got up this morning to see the Eta Aquarids-- but was very disappointed!
Only saw 3 in the 45 minutes of clear sky I had before it clouded over.

Limiting Magnitude: 4.5
Observing FOV: NE, centered around Altair in Aquila

Period from:
03:30 - 04:15 6th May, 2002 (LOCAL)
17:30 - 18:15 5th May, 2002 (UT)

-----------------+-----------------------------+
Magnitudes | -1 | 0 | +1 | +2 | +3 |
-----------------+-----------------------------+
Eta Aquarids | 0 | 1 | 1 | 0 | 1 |
Sporadic | 0 | 1 | 0 | 0 | 0 |
-----------------+-----------------------------+

The 0 magnitude ETA that was seen produced a lovely white train, lasting
less than second after the meteor disappeared.

I might try again tomorrow morning-- but I am very interested if anyone has
had any luck observing any decent amount of ETA??
