(meteorobs) Aug 12 Perseids from Southern CA

We had clouds drift in from Mexico most of the night and I was left to
watch (not count) through broken clouds. Finally between 3 and 4am it
began to clear completely so I was able to obtain a count for the last
dark hour before morning twilight. The Perseids seen early in the
session were few and on the dim side. Those seen after it cleared were
quite bright, including a blue green -8 (30 sec train) and a yellow -6
(20 sec train). My resulting count was 43 Perseids and 8 sporadic
between 11:00 and 12:00 UT. The show was probably a bit better as I was
a bit fatigued at this point. I should have slept while the clouds were
present but I was concerned I would miss something.
