Re: (meteorobs) China Persids

Hi all:

I too watched the China version - not sure whether the same version as MrsWebb -
the clip showed an animation of the meteor streams and earth go round it. The
news also include some clips of Taiwanese watchers too across the straits.
What strike me most is the video image of the perseids: a couple of them , on
look to be a non perseid. The stars are bright and round and clean - no noise at
all and no hint of green tint. I suspect those are high defintion or pricesy
intensifer images - sound like from Japan. I did not manage to tape down any
and if I am not wrong the star fields are centred around the inverted 'V' or
Taurus something. Any one care to comment further?
