(meteorobs) Perseid report, night of Aug 11/12

Summer haze did a number on the Perseids here in New England. I observed
for 1 hour on the morning of the 12th:

Place: Bedford, MA (Lat 42.5 N, long 71.3 W).

Time: 6:46 - 7:46 August 12, 2002 UT.

Effective time: 100 percent (no time lost to looking away).

Limiting mag.: 5.0

Sky obstructions: none.

Looked straight up.

23 Perseids, 1 Delta Aquarid, 6 others.

Most of the "sporadics" were long, swift meteors coming from the east, just
as swift as the Perseids but definitely out of alignment with them.

The next two nights were so hazy I didn't try.

Cheers,
