    My apologies.  I have heard this term used by the aurora scientists
mentioned in my previous post, as well as previously in this thread.  I
myself do not have a sufficient understanding to use the term in any sort of
knowledgeable way, so I'll retract it and simply call the aurora audio
effect simultaneous sound.
