Re: (meteorobs) double predictions and "the Americas"



       In about another week to 10 days, the November 2002 Sky & Telescope will become available.  It will contain my sixth Leonid overview, providing the very latest predictions for this year by the Lyytinen and Asher models.  One interesting note is that observers in New England and the Canadian Maritimes have a shot at catching the first peak (from the 1767 dust trail) mainly in the form of "Earth Grazing" meteors as the Leonid radiant starts coming over the northeast horizon.
