Hi, Rainer, Mark and meteor observers,

Dr. Jin Zhu, Dan Xia and I went to Huailai (to the east of Xinglong) to
monitor any potential Draconids activity. We arrived at the site at about
23h (local time = UT+8h), and began to observe meteors before
mid-night. Jin operated the video observation, and Dan and I watched
the sky visually in the same interval. In the period between 0h-1h, 7
shower meteors of Draconids were seen! But in following several hours,
no shower meteors appeared, even less sporadics. While in the "high rate"
period, only I made formal visual counting observation, Dan was doing
some assistant work for me; and next, she started to watch and I was
the helper. So only one report was obtained at any time. But all of us,
including Jin's video tapes, monitored in a similar period, so the event
will be very easy to be comfirmed. I also wonder if someone else
monitored, is monitoring, or intend to monitor this shower. What kind of
rate did you meet?
