(meteorobs) Nov. 6/7 report from KS (MATBE) Taurids



2nd of three sorties in a row to watch Taurids.  Weather
better with every passing night!  

While not on the report below, I finally saw a Zeta Puppid,
from latitude +38.5 N!  While setting up, at about 105AM
local time in very near proximity to Canis Minor, allowing
for exact plot that I reviewed this weekend while completing
my reports.  A nice feat from this far North!  +2, fairly slow
due to being so low in the E.

7 Northern Taurid, 4 S. Taurid, 1 Leonid/NPX?, 13 S (1 NPX)

REMARKS -
O Mag. Reddish Sporadic had a 2 sec. train,
the -1 Taurid had a 1 sec. train.
One of the mag. 3 Taurids was fragmenting.
+1 N. and the 0 mag. S. Taurids were Orangish,
a +2 N. Taurid was Bluish.

Temp. near 40 F, Dead calm wind.
Local Sheriff visited during the break, on patrol,
state park property site, filled him in on
the coming Leonids!
