RE: (meteorobs) Virus warning




	It's not a virus; it's a hoax... and this is hardly the place.  The file
mentioned below is part of the Windows environment necessary to debug Java
programs; you can get the full story at

	Any message that includes whole sentences in caps, or urges you to send it
to everyone you know, is most likely just a waste of your bandwidth (another
good indicator is the fact that its technical content is ludicrously
incorrect).  Next time you get one of these, check www.sarc.com first to see
if it's worth perpetuating.

|check for the virus and how to get rid of it.

|YOU MUST DO THIS:
|
|  a.. Go to the start button (bottom left corner), find the search
|
|option ( or "find").
|
|  b.. In the files / folders option, write the name jdbgmgr.exe
|
|  c.. Be sure to search your C: drive and any other drives you may have
|
|  d.. Click "find now"
|
|  e.. The virus has a teddy bear icon with the name jdbgmgr.exe
|
|  f.. DO NOT OPEN IT.
|
|  g.. Go to edit:  Choose "select all" to highlight the file without
|
|opening it.
|
|  h.. Now go to file and select "delete". It will go to your recycle
|
|bin.
|
|  i.. Go to your recycle bin and delete it from there also.
|
|IF YOU FIND THE VIRUS YOU MUST CONTACT ALL THE PEOPLE IN YOUR ADDRESS
|
|BOOK
|
|SO THEY CAN ERADICATE IT IN THEIR OWN ADDRESS BOOKS.  SORRY ABOUT THIS
|
|I'M SURE EVERYONE IN THE ADDRESS BOOK WILL HAVE IT.
|
|
|
|To do this open new email message, click the photo of the address book
|
|next to TO.
|
|Click every name and add to BCC.
|
|Copy this message, enter subject, paste to email and send.
|
