(meteorobs) Short periods for Leonid reporting

Dear meteor enthusiasts,

A large number of observers have sent in their full Leonid
reports already. We are most grateful to all the contributors.
We are currently working on the full utilization of data to
provide a more accurate ZHR profile soon.

The main goal of the campaign is the comparison of model
predictions with the observed peak time and level. We are talking
about an accuracy of a few minutes in peak time. The observed
peak time CANNOT BE FOUND IF YOU REPORT long observing periods.
You ask the IMO "When was the peak" and send in 15-minute
periods?

When you prepare your Leonid report, please use the smallest
possible bins for the meteor counts AND the magnitude distribu-
tions. Even if they are 1-minute bins with few meteors - why
losing information?

Best wishes and thanks again for your great observing efforts!
