I heard Saturday from a contact in the area of Canberra,
Australia, about terrible bush/forest fires there.  The 
latest report I've seen is that three have died, about 
400 homes have been destroyed, and also the astronomy 
facilities and equipment on Mt. Stromlo there have been 
almost entirely destroyed.  Rob McNaught is at Siding 
Spring, a long way from Canberra, but I believe that Mt. 
Stromlo and Siding Spring are institutionally related.
