Thanks for that reminder Daniel.  In the wake of the shuttle tragedy,  thats
exactly what I feel like doing. It wont bring anyone back, but at least I'd
be looking "out there".

Among the predicted outbursts in the article "Meteor outbursts from long
period comet dust trails" by Esko Lyytinen and Peter Jenniskens the 2003
Alpha Centaurids are listed.

Though it is not one of the more likely outbursts, it might be worthwhile to
keep an eye on the Alpha Centaurids, if they can be observed from your
location. The calculated time of the outburst is February 8, 2003 09:07 UT
(Sollong 319.148 J2000).
