(meteorobs) Configuring Mail Clients to use ASCII Plain Text
This subject is one that I am glad has come up, and only wish I had
brought it up myself.
The web site below is excellent for the explanation of why to use plain text and
it has instructions on how to do it in just about every mail client.
I for one am tired of receiving messages that have all that
html code appended after each message. It would make meteorobs look and
read so much easier, since HTML is meant for the WWW; not for mailing lists, Usenet newsgroups postings. I get the meteorobs digest, and it is at times almost useless
to read because of the messy format. I no longer save the digests because they take
up way too much space.
